Tomorrow is the big day for me to start the Folfox regimen. I have 8 total treatments to get through. I was nervous there for awhile thinking about all the side effects of the chemo cocktail, but oh well. This cocktail will hopefully keep me cancer free.
Wish me luck!
P.S. I'm so glad for this site. All of you are a wonderful and supportive bunch of people.

Hi Cheryl:
Just think of it as serving notice to those creepy cancer cells! Hit them hard and hit them with everything you've got. You are taking a huge step in nailing them. You go girl!
Like Kathi said, 8 will go really fast! Keep us posted on how you're doing.
Don't forget to sleep a lot, drink tons of water and eat at least 100g of high quality protein a day. Get the Patrick Quillin book "Fighting Cancer with Nutrition".
Best of luck to you!
Cheers,

Good luck! I started at Stanford today. Oxaliplatin, eributux, xeloda + lots of premeds. The first infusion was so scary and I'm a 47 year old male surfer coach but I got through it ok. I drank lots of water, and visually pictured the meds as golden rays of light coming into my body. Someone suggested that to me and I liked it.
All my best0 -
Best wishes for the treatment.

I am Stage II NO/MO colon cancer. Had tumor removed on 10 July 06. Stated the FLOFOX Regime of Oxiplatin, 5FU & Leuovorn. Treatments are every two weeks for 6 months, total of 12. Believe me I know it can be scary. ALL by DOCS know that I am the biggest sissy when it comes to things like this. My husband is always trying to get me to look on the bright side and cheer me up. He is great. I am a 42-year old mother and wife.
GOOD LUCK AND KEEP US POSTED0
