this site sucks...just spent 30 minutes trying to access it to reply to a needy poster...fix it!

    Just curious... are you on a Mac or PC? What browser are you using? I've noticed that using Internet Explorer on either platform (but especially on the Mac) is increasingly problematic. Try downloading the browser from Firefox see if that doesn't clear up some of your problems. It's worth a try if you haven't tried it yet.

    had same problem to get on my start page after sign in. It says it will take 5 seconds but more like 5 minutes of repeatedly trying.

    By the sounds of it, Bud's on coffee - TOO MUCH coffee!

    Dude - they're working on it as fast as they can; I share your frustration. I have noticed it's gotten really slow... makes it very agrivating, I know. Not sure what the 5 second thing is - Dasna told me it has something to do with something, but I don't recall what. Midnite's right, I always click on the "skip the 5 seconds and start me now" button, but it still takes its 5 seconds plus a whole lot more. I think the CSN has fallen victim to its own success! Like I said, Bud, I have talked to Jose and Dana and Greta and I know that they're doing the best they can to get it back to the smooth running site we all came to know and love. A lot of the problems have to do with the shear number of people using the site.

    How have you been? Haven't seen much from you lately.

    I don't understand what y'all are talking about. Yes the 5 second thing takes a little longer (maybe 10-20) but I have never ever had any 30 minute problem unless it was when the site was down.

    I just talked to Jose today and the new site is coming along nicely. He has even seen the welcome page and says it is really cool. Software code writing is very slow, especially when they want to preserve every single post so they can be accessed easily along with the live chat rooms.

    There also might be a need for some "maintenance" work done daily and usually that is done in the wee hours of the morning when traffic is minimal.

    And Bud my dear friend, this site does NOT suck!! I met you here along with many others and thank the site for that every day.
