Gas causes Cancer part2
I don't post near as much as I would like to. But I am doing pretty good. I have scan next week after finishing chemo in March this year and having ileostomy reversed in May.
In effort to eat better, I am consuming legumes more than meat. But man they do not like me. this is not a new thing. I have had a lifelong problem with being gassy..... lucky me.
I asked this question before and I am looking into more though now. I wonder if my copius amounts of gas I have had are a sign of enzymes deficiencies. If my food isn't being digested properly, it ends up rotting in my colon and bad bacteria feeds off it - both creating gas and toxins. The toxins caused my rectal cancer.
Doesn't this make sense? Why aren't we warned more about what excessive gas can be a sign of.
I'm curretnly looking into improving my digestion including raw foods and juicing. And I'm seeing my naturopath on Wednesday. Any suggestions
Thanks : )

Ah yes...I am expermienting with Beano currently. First time didn't seem to help much. I swallowed two tablets. Next time I think I'll try chewing three or try putting the liquid form directly on the food.nanuk said:one word...Beano ...the magic little pill you take before, and presto - no gas-it works. I am also interested in taking a full spectrum digestive enzyme supplement. Anyone recomend a good one? Is there any risk or side effects/concerns with taking digestive enzymes?0 -

I've been a bean eater for 20 years. What I find is if you are cooking the legumes from the dried stage, throw away the soaking water, and cook in fresh water. Also we use humour(as vulgar as that is). Theres a great quote from the movie Shrek where he says "better out than in"
best of luck and God bless0 -
I don't think there is any relationship between the gas and development of cancer. Saying that I note that I used to be bothered with gas, esp with eating baked beans which I have always loved. Since my rectum has been removed and I have a colostomy I have been able to eat the baked beans without a problem- go figure. You could perhaps also benefit by something like Pancrease.
