re: Mark starting trial E7820

I'm just praying for the strength to be strong for and supportive for him. Prognosis is not good - they are basically telling him he'll be on some form of chemo until the inevitable. Thanks to those that answered my posts for the past agonizing days. You are so wonderful all of you. Kathryn

Kathryn,
Your strength amazes me. Mark is very lucky to have a supportive friend like you in his life.
I know this has probably been asked before, but has Mark tried any of the juicing and extreme diet (in my personal view) changes to fight the beast? I know his case is severe, but so was Scouty's as I recall and others who have overcome through a radical diet change.
I'm too lazy to make such a radical change but I am implementing them by baby steps. However, if I were in Mark's position I would give it my all and get the juicer out and go for it!!! Has he ever considered that?
Either way, you are absolutely right that he has to be the commander of his own ship, so to speak. He has to do whatever he feels comfortable with doing because ultimately it is he who deals with the consequences.0 -

Thanks and yes, Mark has been following a lot fat vegan diet with the help of Dr. John McDougall who I recommend all reading - he's helped hundreds reverse their diseases and taken them off drugs for type II diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesteral. His biggest success story is putting Dr. Ruth Heidrich in remission for metastatic breast cancer, over 20 years now.
When he was first diagnosed I hired a Kushi chef known to have helped with cancer patients. I still think that is a good diet, it is demanding and severe, all worth the effort. I think Mark's cancer was too advanced at that point. On the other hand I wonder if it is the chemo making his cancer spread like wildfire. It just seems to be getting worse with each new treatment. That is something we will never know. I ask the doctors frequently just for the hell of it "What if Mark did nothing?" They all say he would definitely die sooner. I wonder...0 -
You might want to consider to use the alternative form of treatment called Protocel. I read about it in a book "Outsmart your cancer: alternative non-toxic treatments that work" by Tanya Harter Pierce. Protocel is a liquid that can be mixed with juice or water. It works by attacking anaerobic cells of the body, leaving normal healthy cells unharmed. All cancer cells are primarily anaerobic. Protocell attacks anaerobic cells by interfering with their cell respiration so they can not obtain enough enerby to function. Since normal health cells of the body are aerobic and use a different process ot obtain energy via cell respiration, they are not harmed.
You can look at www.protocel.com, www.elonnamckibben.com/

I just called the phone number for the order. They told me that the most potent formula runs at $150 per bottle and lasts 2 and a half month.
You might want to try it for Mark, but he would have to forgo the other things. Look at the information, it might worth doing.

Well, I wish him the best of luck. Please share a little more info on this drug with the rest of us and what the concept behind it is. Is it given alone or in combination with other things? How does it work. I am curious as I am sure others are as well.
Good luck!
