My husband's condition continues to worsen. They told us Monday they do not expect him to make it more than a month. Thankfully, they now have his pain under control most of the time. Each day has it's own burdens - he has been very confused today and hallucinating a lot. Hospice Care is helping us - I'm very thankful for that. Please continue to pray for us. Thanks to all of you.

    afraidinindy,
I had sent you a message that I would pray for your husband. I am Stage IV and it has made such a difference that my spouse has been unconditionally loving and supportive through our rollercoaster ride. His integrity is something I will never forget.

    Lois,

My heart goes out to you. May Lord give you strength to go through this. I will pray for both of you. It is good that you have got hospice care and that pain is under control.

    Lois,
I am glad that his pain is controlled, and that hospice is involved. You need support, as well as he does. Look at this time as a time of healing. For you both, the bittersweet times of shared love. For his daughter, the loving passing of the torch. For his friends and family, a time to hug and say the kind words needed.
Please take a small amount of time every day for yourself. It is an awful burden to have to watch a loved one struggle. My arms are around you, dear, sweet spirit.

    Hugs, Kathi

Hi, im so sorry you have to go through this. The confusion and the hallicinations is all part of the end of life. My dad was very confused the last few weeks of his life it is the brain shutting down. The hallucinations could be from the strong pain medication he is on. I pray for you and your family for the difficult weeks to come and I pray God gives you the strength. Mindy

I could not help but cry when I read your post. I have been praying for you. Prayer is the only thing that we can do for you. I wish there were some other ways I could help. I think of you often. As others have said, take a few minutes for yourself as well. I am glad you have hospice.

Please come here and update us as often as time will allow.
