Partially undressed at the House....
Nah, decided instead to have a crying jag in the House of Representatives at the security screening...I was late for my appointment with my congressman, and I kept setting off the alarms....LONG line of people I was holding up.....burst into tears, had to partially undress, turned out to be the CSN button that did it!!!! (Luckily I had my 'survivor' sash on...covered some of the unspeakables)!

OHHH Kathi,
I hope your kidding about the crying jag. Even though we all need it sometimes, you are SUCH a trooper! I don't know if your kidding or serious, because you're always so UP.
So, are you really gonna talk to some representatives??? I mean, you ARE such an important liason for all of us and this CSN site. Keep us up to date and be careful to not freeze your, you know what off! (In my case it would be right tittie) He He
Weather in Calif. is kinda chilly. Today in San Diego I have my heater on in my office. Must be 60 degrees here today. Not your typical CA. weather. Stay warm girl.
And so proud of you. HUGS.

Sad to say, Yes, it IS true! In the rotunda, so my sobs echoed....sigh....well, a true survivor I am...and everybody was so supportive! Celebration on the Hill was wonderful, but in some ways hard...and yes, I DID get to meet-and-greet with the Senators and Reps from California...cool, huh?krkath said:OHHH Kathi,

And it was beautiful days until Wednesday...but even then, with clouds in the air, it was special...the luminaria was breathtaking!

Though I seem to find myself laughing at your expense that is quite a story let alone quite a trip. I just want to thank you and other survivors, just getting out there and telling our stories and being visable makes people aware and in fact educates them to the realities of our world. I am so surprised how many people look at me stunned and say I didn't know. I tell my story so others don't have to face all I had to because I just wasn't educated. Getting information at the time of diagnosis probably isn't the time. When I came out I liken it to Desert Storm I couln't get away from it since the younger generation was just starting to be hit hard. Risk factors becoming quite clear though there should of never been any doubt, just fooling myself.
Ever since receiving this e-mail about how you might as well drink beer because it does have yeast and hops and things in it. Or how about wine since it is made of some very good things. One can find an arguement for everything. My father can for even smoking because he thinks that will actually kill you though I have proven that too be wrong and remind him I probably wouldn't be here had I not quit that bad habit. I could feel with every drag of that cig, my life was slipping away just a bit and that is what finally made me quit. I thank GOD everyday that I managed to do that after smoking for 25 years though only 36 when I quit. I don't believe there is much of that natural tobacco left in the cigs these days, so not so sure one could find something good in it.
I think your courage for heading to The HILL is amazing for I spoke at a conference after my fight and it was one of the scariest things I have ever done.
Good on you,
Tara0
