MRI Friday...8am...
The only thing that could mess it up is my MediPort....the surgeon can't find the record of what he put in, so he doesn't know whether it contains metal or not....sigh....If it's metal, well, no MRI till after the 26th....when my faithful friend is removed....
Hugs, Kathi

Kathi, here's hoping that your port contains no metal! When I got mine put in they gave me a handy dandy little medical alert card. Doesn't say if it has metal or not, just that its there and what it is. Do you remember getting a little card like that? Handy little bugger...
Here's hoping your doc finds out what he needs and that the MRI can go forward...
What about a Pet scan? Is that an option if the MRI falls through? Just thinking out loud...0 -
Hi Kathi, hoping too, that they could find out about your port and have the MRI done by Friday I'll be praying for you for a clean one, bty they didn't gave me any info obout my port, if it was metal or what,I will try to get that information just in case that is needed like now with you. Sending you lots of hugs

Hope the scan comes out well. All they need to do to determine if the port contains metal is to take a simple x-ray first.
Hugs for a negative scan.
