you are definitely at risk, and there should not be any question about your eligibility for screening-any other response but yes should result in a law suit. I also would be cancer free if I had been given the correct information when I asked my doctor for a colonoscopy-they told me it wasn't necessary when in fact I had crc at the time which wasn't discovered until a year later during a routine physical exam. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do... If our medical system/insurance system wasn't so fundamentally flawed in this country you wouldn't have had to have "embellished" as you say you did. We could learn a thing or two from our neighbors to the north.
Keep us posted!

Good on yah!I have a friend here who needs a colonoscopy too. He is 45 and his dad died from bowel cancer years ago when testing was not so available. I plead with him to see his doc. about having a scope....maybe I oughta break his arm! And here in oz the cost is minimal. If I were in your position I would have lied too!spongebob said:A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do... You little sneak! I'm with you all the way! LOL!!! OK, so when is the scope? Tell the doc you want the colonoscopy, in case they try to steer you to a sigmoidoscopy (colonoscopy does the entire colon)!
Oh, and if you tell them you have bleeding they'll do a Fecal Blood test, but just cuz nothing shows up does not mean you don't have cancer.... Women especially turn up negative on the Fecal blood test (I know I did). Stick with diahrrea, cramping and a modest weight loss "for no reason." That should get you in!
Good luck!0 -
Ha thanks patrusha! my appointment is Sept 8th and God willing he will set me up for a colonoscopy! I did take an at home fecal test which was negative but it gave no sense of security at all!Patrusha said:You little sneak! I'm with you all the way! LOL!!! OK, so when is the scope?
