Hello : )

Calling all nature freaks! (I mean that it the very best way!!)

Does supplements and juicing cause much problems for your sensitive semi-colon?

My bowels are still adjusting post treatment. I go someties between 5-10 times a day. It is not diarrhea, thankfully. But the urge to go is there often nonetheless.

I feel like my juicing and supplements sometimes can increase this problem.

My naturopath warned me that a calcium/magnesium supplement might cause me problems and sure enough it did. I now take one without the magnesium. I think maybe Cod liver oil also doesn't like me. I take so much stuff...I can't really tell what causes the problem...but I know some days I take a break and things settle down.

Its just hard going so much. Oh and I have really bad gas to boot. Ah...good times...

But I want to get on juicing and supplements, but I don't want to iritate things down there by going so much.

Thanks for any help or advice,
Maria : )

If I drink a full glass of fruit juice, within 1 hour I'm off to the bathroom....BUT a half glass (sigh...the glass half full) works GREAT!

Gas is NORMAL...bowel is working...will get better, I promise...

A and D ointment helped with the sensative areas...

    Hi Maria,

I was always told that cod liver oil helps keeps bowels moving. Maybe don't take that for a while until it calms down? Another thought also is that it is GOOD to go about 5 times a day. That way you know that everything is out of your system and your lymphnodes in the colon can work good. Have you tried a over counter for the gas before you eat? It might be your system getting used to all the fiber and just sensitive yet. Good luck and tell us how you do. Take care and HUGS. Like Kathi said it will get better.
