Congrats!!!! It is always nice to hear somebody is NED. I would like a copy of the liver friendly diet too. Everything helps. Happy dance here (no naked, too scary) LOL.

I must remind you, I am not good at posting things such as my diet. I am also aware that there are losts of different diets on this board. I never had a book. My ONC surg. would add things as we progressed. I was on RAW Juice for three months, then I moved to the fruit. I made notes as I went along. Hope it helps.
Liver friendly foods
Vegetables
Raw is best, or steamed
broccoli
brussel sprouts
cabbage
cauliflower
garlic
onions
beets
carrots
sweet potatoes
dark green leaf items
pumpkin
sprouts, alfafa, bean, mung.
Breads whole grain stoneground(must be listed first ingredient.)
eggs, free range
Meat
chicken, freerange, natural
tuna
salmon(canned is great)
you may eat oily fish, no raw, smoked of fried.
Pasta whole grain
NO MILK
almond milk
soy milk
rice milk
herbal tea
spices may be used
nuts & seeds
almond
cashew
flax pumpkin
grape
Fruit
you may have any fruit
blue berry, blackberries, rasberries are best
NO SUGAR also artifical sweetner is very difficult on your liver.
Drink lots of water, it is good for your liver if you add lemon or lime.
Anytime you are not feeling well its a good idea to juice. Fresh Raw juice is best.Beet,carrot,celery, apple and the good ole green powder one must have on hand.
I feel positive that this has helped me recover,most of all I give the glory to God.

Oops, new at posting here, so please bear with me. Congratulations Jean, I am so very happy for you. I too have colon cancer with mets to the liver and positive lymph nodes. I had surgery in October of 2003 and 10 months of chemo. I had been seeing the doc every 4 months, but in March he said I could go six. It has been a very long extra 2 months. I am feeling very good, but I can't keep my mind off it. I am hoping for 3 years in October. Thank you for being there and letting me see it is possible.0
