Fact or Fiction?

Hi my dad started to think he was having conversations with people that where not there and minutes later he would realize he was hallucinating. He started a anti depressant and thats what made him hallucinate because when we stoped it the hallucinations went away. Then we started him on another anti depressant and the hallucinations came back. Did you husband start any new drugs ex: pain meds, anti depressants, anti anxiety pills lately? If not I would mention it to the dr. Does he have stage 4 with mets someplace else? Mindy0

Yeah, he's on Ativan - I think that's the culprit - I've convined him to take it only at bedtime to see if that helps. Yes, colorectal with liver mets.mindy10 said:Hi my dad started to think he was having conversations with people that where not there and minutes later he would realize he was hallucinating. Yup, my daughter is on Ativan for a different reason..not the beast....and she gets images that are not there....good idea for a bedtime thing...we all dream then!afraidinindy said:Yeah, he's on Ativan - I think that's the culprit - I've convined him to take it only at bedtime to see if that helps. And I had some grand conversations with 'people' while on some pain killers...

Indy,
While I was in the hospital, they gave me something that was supposed to help with the abdominal spasms I was having. Yeah, it helped. It was also like being on LSD! I would "dream" I was talking to and kissing my 12-year-old and open my eyes to find myself alone in my hospital room. I'd sleep better, but I'd frequently wake up very disoriented... I'd see the TV up on the ceiling and think my bed was standing up on end. I'd have to look for the door to figure out I was actually laying down. It was a trip. I'd look into the Ativan, too....0
