Back from 'the Springs'...I'm Jello!

Well, I am now back from Palm Springs...It was 85 degrees at 10:30pm!!!!!

I am now officially JELLO, after 4 1/2 hours of facial, massage, and doing this thing called 'taking of the waters'...first wet sauna, then dry sauna, then aromatherapy dry sauna, then soaking in water from tribal (this is Indian land) hot springs, then resting in a dim, cool room with cucumber on my eyes....WOW!!!!

AND I won $100 at the casino next door!!!!

This was the PERFECT way to say "It's OVER" to all the treatments that vanquished the beast!!!!

    What a great treat after all you've been through! Congrats on completing treatment! Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary of finishing chemo (and losing my job, but that's a story for another day!). Continue to take very good care of yourself, Judy

    ps....is it cool for guys to do all that stuff? Geez Kathi...85 deg! We been frozen here in the mornings with under 32 deg.! I guess I should not complain when some of you guys know what snow is....mmmmm....what is snow? Anyway, good to hear you getting some deserved quality time gal.

    That sounds great!! You deserve every bit of it.
    That is one thing I have not done yet. I wonder how I can lay on my belly with these 2 bags. Challenging but I will find a way. Glad to hear you are done with your treatments. You deserve every bit of pampering. And the casino part is right up my alley. I have been to Vegas 3 times this year. I just love to get on a plane and get away from all of this. Your Friend Fran.

    Yes, kanga, there were men there, too...although in a separate area....many of us braver souls were wearing nothing but a towel and a smile(hehehehehee, blush)!
    Great way to relax, and give yourself a gift!

    And, I lost ALL of the burned skin from the rads!!!!
    All that's left is my scars, my port (that will be removed SOON), and my new 'chemo cut' hair do!

    I still have my port, so I just asked for a little towel that I positioned around to buffer it...where there's a will, there's ALWAYS a way!
