Had my onc. appt today and he told me that my scans show less tumors and the ones that are left are smaller..and the Pet shows very little uptake in only 3 of them.in fact he said that they had to look under a magnifying glass to see the uptake . Wow I am so happy . I just can't beleive they had to look at my liver with a magnifying glass .and all my other organs looked clear . He did say that the scan picked up a slight thicking on a area of my stomach no uptake . he said that he see's this quite often in people receiving chemo . Any one else have this ? Anyways, Plan is to continue with 5fu/luc/and avastin then in a few months bring back in the Oxy . Next scan in three months will tell more .
Thanks you eveyone for the good vibes and prayers . I took them all with me while I was getting scaned .
Take Care and God Bless

Hi Debra -
That's wonderful news! I'm happy for you. A magnifying glass is definitely good!
Take care,
Betsy
P.S. I like the idea of carrying good wishes with you to a scan. Methinks I might ask for those before my next scan.0 -

I was happy to read your great news and that your prayers were answered. My husband had liver mets and the same meds. At the end of chemo PET showed NED. I know it is sometimes hard and you think you will never finish the treatment but you will. All the wonderful people are here to help you. Again, congratulations! This is the news we all love to hear. It encourages everyone.0

Hi Debra,
Like everyone else I'm glad to hear such good news with the scans. All our good vibes are helping (and I guess the meds too). Take a day and celebrate. I'm doing the happy dance here just like Kathi. (I also get a little leaky when I hear good news) sniff.
Hugs and more good vibes!!!
