Hey Emily,

Just thought you'd be thrilled to know that I just had my first glass of juiced vegetables and I loved it!!! I have a juicing recipe book and can't wait to try them all. My juicer isn't that great but it will do for now. Now, I just have to get my parents to jump on the juicing bandwagon.

You're the one who inspired me to start juicing.

Thanks!!!

-Lee-

    Lee,

Congrats to you. If your folks need someone they can relate to tell them Jack Lalane!!!!!!! He has juiced for years along with his exercising and looks great for 80!!!!!!!

    Cool Lee,

Juicing is great and makes you feel good. It is hard to get some people to like it. Keep talking to them about it and maybe they will change their mind. It has lots of nutrition without the ruffage for the people that have problems with it. And most people don't get enough veggies in their diets so a good natural way to get them in. Can you give us the name of the juicing book? Take care.

I agree with you Lee...Emily is our resident expert on juicing...I don't like to drink stuff that is thick, so I started with clear juice and then gradually added bulk to it...
I can tell you, as far as me, if my innards are running a little sluggish, one glass of juice from concord grapes moves them into the fast lane!
Hugs to both you and Emily,

No, I don't have any dietary restrictions, I just want to eat healthier, and after doing so much nutritional research, and after reading many of Emily's posts, I've realized that juicing is a great way to get the nutrients I don't usually get from vegetables cause I hate eating vegetables raw. I've only started juicing once or twice a day, but plan on doing it more often. I'm trying to get my parents to juice: My dad has colon cancer and my mom has borderline diabetes so I think they could both benefit from juicing.

    Hi Lisa,

The book I am reading is "The Juiceman's Power of Juicing" by Jay Kordich. This is a very old book, and I'm sure he has revised it. He talks about the benefits of juicing, goes through each fruit and vegetable and tells you how to prepare them before putting them in the juicer. He lists special recipes for different ailments. I think it's great. I'm sure you can get it on Amazon or a book store. My brother's fiancee let me borrow it.

    God bless,

    -Lee-
