best husband ever

Hi everyone... well - this was my birthday weekend. Sorry I haven't been on the site much. Just got our internet connected (whew) at our temporary place.

FYI: I am stage 4 with inoperable microscopic mets in my lung hilar lymph nodes with a mass in the right lower lung. Currently getting radiation (finish on Wed) with xeloda. AND FEELING FINE!! :) I'm still working 80% and doing great. thank goodness.

Back to the real story: my husband threw me a surprise birthday party this weekend. And it was AMAZING. He called / emailed ALL of my friends from all over the country and about 40 people showed up! There was a singer and great food, and friends I haven't seen in 10yrs. Life takes everyone away, but everyone put their lives on hold and came out to help me celebrate. It was the most beautiful time.

Just had to brag on the site - cuz I'm feelin pretty good about myself. :)

    Happy Birthday Jana, although I have never understood why we make such a spectacle of growing older, I can certainly appreciate your suprise party..friends and family are really all there is..it was wonderful meeting emily and all the semi-colons in Austin.
    BTW, we have the same diagnosis.

    I am so glad to hear that you are happy and doing well. That is wonderful! I had a surprise party thrown for me when I turned 18 and I can remember how happy I was. That is fantastic.
