Hello Everyone!!!!
I got home the evening of the 12th. All I can say is that they said I would be able to go home that day - Well, NO WAY!!!
I guess the surgery went as planned so far. I saw the Dr. last week and he seemed happy. I am still having trouble with my throat. The best thing is no more migrain! The surgery took longer then expected as there was more damage found. With all the metal I have now in my neck I will be seting off the metal detectors in the airports now for sure. The pain is still there and I am going crazy being couped up. I tried driving for the first time this past weekend and no way. I can't turn my head fast enough to keep an eye on the traffic. So I will just stay put some more. I never realized how many muscles and tendons you need to use to hold your head up. I can sit up without support only for a couple of hours then I have to lay down. I will be calling the Dr. on Monday as I don't know if something has moved or that the pain level should still be high. I hate taking all these drugs. I feel like a zombee.
I shouldn't complain as it could of gone the other way and I would not be walking. So I am grateful for that fact!!!
I am just impatient as I have so much work here at the house to do and I can't do any of it.I have the roofing company coming this Thursday to put on a entire now roof on. I am trying to get the rooms upstairs cleared out, just incase they go through the roof on the bad side. As I have o attic. I just have to get a hold of a couple of guys to get some furniture moved. Nothing seems to be easy anymore.
Well, I just wanted to let you guys know that I am still around whether you guys like it or not you are stuck with me.
I will try to email the crew when I am up to it. Lisa - Congratulations on the results!!!!! I too am glad to be able to put faces with names!!!
I think about our trip to TX alot!!!! Esp. Bud burning up the dance floor!!!!! I have to ask bud to put me on his dance card for the next time!!
I just wanted to touch base and let you know I am hanging in there. My next big step is trying to figure out how to wash my hair. I need an extra set of hands and I don't have them.
Have a Wonderful week!!!! I am so enjoying the sunshine after all the gloomy weather we had here on the east coast!
Best Wishes and Prayers to everyone who has their up and coming tests!!!!
Love Always!!
Sue

Ahoy, Sue -
Glad to hear your surgery went well. Moe is right about baby-steps. Don't worry about your hair (although if you explain your situation to a nice hairdresser, you might be able to get it done on the cheap)
What's this about "Twinkle Toes" movin' in on my girls when I'm not around? Now I'll have to be SURE to be in Halifax!
Hang tough, Sue - one day at a time! You're doing great.

Hey there girlfriend!!!!!!!!!
I didn't just have surgery to my neck and can't keep up with my house and yard. What the hell....stuff happens. You will when you can and will be so much more productive.
Hugs, kisses, and my sincere wishes for a quick recovery, you so deserve it.
