Hi Bev
I am replying to your original question. My first chemo regime was folfiri with avastin for six months which shrunk liver mets, then just avastin for a while, (I have since read that avastin works better with some chemo, dunno)Then when things began to activate again, avastin was stopped and was on folfox for a while. After the last scan showed decreases ln liver mets, but increase in lung ones, I am now enjoying a cocktail of irinotecan and erbitux, once weekly. No nausea or bowels thingies, but a dreadful acne like rash. So maybe erbitux is the way to go now?
Hope this helps a bit.
Best wishes

Hi Bev--If you want to do emails to anyone on the site--there are 2 ways to get there--you can go on your CSN start page and on the right side in the "New Message" BOX you can click under email messages or on any message here at the bottom are little icons and click on the one that looks like an envelope and it will connect you--i have sent you an email to help you find it..
anyhow, about my husband...first he was on avastin, 5FU,leucovorin for a month(shrunk the tumors 20%)-then colon resection and liver resection and ablation and then 6 more months of same chemo. Then when the cancer showed up again(one node in abdomen and 2 in chest area)not able to operate and started weekly erbitux and biweekly irinotecan since 10/05. All is still stable and last scan said"stable or marginal decrease"--next scan(has every 2 months)will tell more. Will gladly share anymore info you would like---let me know.

Have you tried Keflex for your rash? Has been the "wonder drug" for my hubby. He has gone from being hospitalized for his rash -it was so severe to today -if you saw him--you would not know he was still on the erbitux asnd irinotecan. Let me know if you want more info.
