Hi Everyone!
Need your help. How often do you get scan for treatments for chemo-radiation? Is it at the end of your entire cycle, two weeks etc? Also has the chemo-radiation been successful in shrinking tumors etc?
My husband has to make a decision which is difficult for him because he has two different opinions. Pre-radiation before surgery or surgery, bracytherapy during surgery and radiation after for reoccurrence to the pelvic region.
He is not sleeping at night and stressed out. Any input would be appreciated.

I am sorry that your husband is feeling so stressed about this decision -- although I can certainly understand. Are your doctors able to provide you with some evidence (for example, research studies) comparing the success of the different treatment approaches for people in your husband's condition? Of course, each individual is different -- but sometimes such evidence can help in our decisions. I know that chemoradiation can be successful in shrinking tumors. But I am sure the other approaches have been successful too. I am wishing you both all the best. I hope your husband is able to get rest. And, please take care of yourself, too.0
