It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know I just received word that Nettie passed away last night (Friday) Everyone, please pray for her sweet husband and their children. She fought so hard to stay with them as long as she could, but I know she is now with her Jesus and healed at last.

    I am at such a loss. I e-mailed her often to try to get her through the rough times. She will always be remembered as a bright ray of hope.

    Thanks all of you. I emailed Jamie (Nettie's husband) and told him that they are in our thoughts and prayers. I only knew Nettie through Cyberspace. She and several other of you, were so wonderful to me when I discovered that I was now a member of this great group. I know I have said this before, but each of you encourage me every day and I hope that I encourage you. As we have all said at one time or another, once you are diagnosed with cancer, life changes. You will never be the same. This is not always a bad thing. I hope that I have grown as a person and as a Christian and my goal in life is to help all that I can.

    Nettie was that person to me. She asked me for my private email and took me "under her wing". I know that she is now under our precious Lord's wing and she is happy, well, and at peace.

    Again, thank all of you, Kerry, Kanga, Emily, and many more who have been such an encouragement to me and gave me such hope. You probably have no idea how much you helped me. Honestly, there is no way for any of us to know how this group is used to do those things for others. Please know that I am here for you and if you need me just let me know. I dont check this every day because of time constraints, but I do at least once or twice a week and you are always in my prayers.

    All you newbies...this group cares about you.

    I am so sorry to hear about Nettie. My prayers and thoughts will be with her family. This disease is so disgusting. It hurts all of us in so many ways. No other way to describe it...CANCER SUCKS. My heart just hurts for her family and friends. No more suffering, Nettie. You are with God. Terri

    Franny, thank you very much for sharing this with us. Nettie was such a special person - who lives on within us. My heart sank when I read your note. I was recently worriend because I hadn't heard from her in a while.

    Please make sure her family knows how much she helped all of us and that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
