Hope you are still checking this. I too was diagnosed with NHL which started in my right hip!!
Tell me more about yours. I am now trying to find out how I got this--so I don't get it again.0 -
My case originated in my right hip. Because it started in the bone, they originally thought it was some kind of sarcoma. After biopsy I learned it was bone lymphoma.maryellen9 said:Hope you are still checking this. I too was diagnosed with NHL which started in my right hip!!

I have currently just finished by 7th of 8 cycles, and as of two months ago I seem to be clean. Now lets just hope that it stays away.
How long have you had yours, and what kind survival statistics have you heard. I am 270 -

Your story is exactly mine. I have been having pain in my right hip for the last few years. I had a MRI and they told me that they thought it was a sarcoma too, until they biopsied it and it was Large B cell Lymphoma. That started either in my bone and grew out,or vice versa. I was just diagnosed with this on October 29th, 2008. I am 37 years old. Please respond as I know that your wrote this over 2 years ago, and I would like to know how you are feeling today and if you have had any relapses....
Thanks0 -

I was diagnosed with NHL 20 years ago in the hip area too but not in the bone. I just found it interesting that you all had diagnosis in that pelvic area too. Mine was in a lymph node in the groin area, on the inside of my left leg. Just thought it interesting that you all had it in the same area. Just an observation. NHL can be cured, I am living testament of that, my docs actual say that I am a cure, so think positively and try to move forward with your life without fear of recurrance. Fear is a very dangerous stress to live with, try and seek counselling if you are trapped in fear of recurrance, it truly is something that is common to have, for a little while, but don't get stuck in fear for too long. All the best to you all in 2009 - hope your health greatly improves. Blessings.0
