I'm sorry but the other day when I posted, I did not take the time to read your message. Will the VA not do the chemo or recomend it to be done? I am a cancer patient and being on chemo is not fun but it is not (usually) as bad as it used to be. I was shocked at the advances that they have made. I even had Pizza delivered at the clinic during my chemo. It does affect everyone differently though. Chemo may be the only thing that will give him some time. If he doesn't take the chemo or have more radiation are there any other options? I wish you both the luck and you will be in my prayers. Paula0

Hi, my name is Ann and I am from Australia. I have been diagnosed with a pleomorphic liposarcoma which has been removed and then I had further surgery as the margins were not good. I am now undergoing radiotherapy. I realise your post was in 2006 but is there any chance you are still reading these posts? I would love a chance to chat with someone who has dealt with this disease. I cannot seem to find very much information at all.
Hope to hear from you.

Hello there,
My father just had a surgery for a malignant tumor which doctors say is Pleomorphic Liposarcoma. Below is the Biopsy report, I do not know what it is and what I need to do now. I consulted two doctors, and they have two different views. Can you please advise and help.
HISPATHOLOGY ( BIOPSY REPORT )
CLINICAL DETAILS PROVIDED
Right Adrenal Spindle cell tumor
SPECIMEN
Right adrenal mass
GROSS FINDINGS
Received modular mass, weigh 1.6kg measuring 22*14*12cm . External surface is smooth and congested. Cut surface yellowish tissue with areas of hemorrhage. Adrenal gland identified at one pole.
MICROSCOPIC FINDING
Sections studied from various levels show a highly cellular lesion composed of spindle shaped cells with elongated vesicular nuclei, moderate nuclear pleomorphism. Frequent mitotic figures are seen 12-14/10. There are scattered giant cells in a myxoid background. Tumor is well circumscribed. Areas of necrosis are seen.
IMPRESSION
High Grade Sarcoma
Features are suggestive of Pleomorphic Liposarcoma.0
