I just read a few posts and the replies again.
WOW, you guys, what a plethora (sorry, movie fan) of informed posts! Example: musiclover's post re: is this normal w/friend's stool spillage. Another: the protective spirit of the group, with this latest controversial post...
I REALLY love you guys!!!!
(Maybe the oncs and the drug companies should visit here for REAL information...FREE clinical trials...LOL)
Hugs and Kisses,
Kathi

Too true Kathi. I remember my cautious approach when I first came here over 2 years ago. I was so desperate for information that I did not lurk...I just dropped in tha deep end. Of course at first I was fairly reserved about how to approach many things including the "****/taboo" type subjects...literally. But everyone welcomed me with open arms, and then some(who coined that phrase first?...Bruce Willis?) Over the years I have made some wonderfull friends here and it is to those people I owe so much praise and SO much thanks. Of course it is not possible to get to know everyone on a personal basis. As time went by I have been able to get a little more personal with some via emails/photographs etc. There are also many who I phone to keep in touch. It is this special bond that has Jen and I flying to the states this month. It is something that I NEED to do........meet the very people who we do indeed love Kathi.
Many people ask me..."you are going to meet people from a discussion board....that you have never met?" They just have absolutely no comprehension of my true feelings of what this site and the members here means to me.
So your plethora of informed posts, examples from many posts, is going to bring together cancer patients and carers to "share" that special bond, in person, in 18 days! Now that is wonderfull in itself......I only wish we could ALL meet!
As an added bonus it happens that our incredible CSN hosts are in Austin too.To be able to meet the very people(Jose, Dana, Greta and Cathrine) that make this all happen is so exciting for us.
huggs back at yah gal, Ross and Jen0
