As I understand it, any pain that lasts for longer than 2 weeks should be taken seriously. If you are still worried, get another opinion. It is your right.

I had a pain in my neck that lasted for about 3 weeks. I went to see my onc and she assured me it was from the radiation. The pain IMMEDIATELY disappeared.

    Hugs.

The symptoms are different because different bones are involved. Some women have horrid pain and others have it discovered during routine testing without any symptoms. Let your doctor know that you are concerned and insist on testing to confirm his or her muscle theory. If the doctor refuses, get another doctor. It may very well be nothing but worrying isn't helping.
    Good luck!

I have bone mets from br ca. I've been living with it for over 2 years now and I'm doing very well. I always joke that other than cancer, I'm healthy as a horse!

The first thing I felt was pain in my back and hips. You should have a bone scan-ASAP!! That is the first test my oncologist ordered. I had seen my primary care doc prior to this and he referred me to a chiropractor-WRONG!! All along I had reminded him that I am a cancer survivor, but it wasn't until I called my onc that any testing was done.
Your pain does not necessarily mean that you have bone mets, but you should be certain of this. Action needs to be taken now and be very insistent and persistent with your doctors and their staff. If you have mets, it should be treated immediately. Don't be shy or feel like a pest. As a cancer survivor, you have to be extremely vigilent about any health issues.

I hope all turns out well and will keep you in my prayers. Email me if you have any questions.

    Hugs,
    Monica
