I am a military member and I passed my physical fitness test. First time in 3 years that I've taken all parts of the test, usually I had to be exempt from at least one part. This was important to me, to be able to do it all. Especially the push ups since I had a mod radical and dorsi lat flap. I did the max number of push ups required. My male co-workers don't understand understand why I was so happy but I think you can.
Always look for those small accomplishments

Future, This goes way beyond a "small accomplishment." It's a wonderful testament, not just to survival, but to reclaiming your life. Congratulations!

Wow! Good for you. I'm the wife of retired military. You are awesome. I just had a second mastectomy and haven't gotten everything back from the first without any reconstruction. There's no stopping you now, huh. Good luck to you in your career. You can achieve anything you put your mind too. Good for you, good for you.

You pat that back of yours. Must have taken allot of hard work on your part, knowing from my own personal experience. It is always good to know that others have returned to the life they once knew all be it different. I too have found that settling for second best just wasn't me.
Congradulations and though you think small in the accomplishment area, is huge to those of us who truly know.

    Future,
Such an appropriate screen name! And, by the way CONGRATS!!!!!!!! Sometimes, after we start looking 'normal' again, people just assume everything should go back to the way it was, and we should be just fine. Can't understand why small (to them) victories are so important and such a BIG Deal! If asked, I usually tell people "Look, when you have faced death, and beat the monster, come talk to me about perspective".
    GRRRRRRRRRREAT NEWS!!!!!
