My 4th Birthday...

Today is a very special day here in our little household as it marks the fourth anniversary of Lisa's surgery to remove the diseased portion of her colon. When we look back 4 years it seems like a lifetime in some ways as they were very dark days with no light at the end of the tunnel. When Lisa had her surgery we had not heard of the CSN or any of the support groups but were left to fend on our own. It has not been an easy journey but the love and support that we have received from all of our CSN brothers and sisters has made it much more bearable. To the people who are newly diagnosed it is not a automatic death sentence as there are many stories of recovery and healing by various means!!! So keep the faith and with Gods help we will see many of you in Austin next month and Halifax in October! Words cannot express how much Lisa and I are looking forward to October when we will welcome you to our end of the country for some down east hospitality.

Andy and Lisa,
Congratulations!! Yes, each year that passes with NED is a very special anniversary.
When you get here to Austin we are going to celebrate all the good things....
Can't wait to see you. I will be making my plans for Halifax. I am so excited - I've never been to that part of the world. Should be lots of fun.
Take care and we'll see you in a few weeks.
Hugs,

Dear Andy and Lisa,
Thanks for letting us know to celebrate this special milestone in your journey to wellness. Your story of success serves to give hope to all of our fellow friends who are just now fighting our foe.
I can't wait until April when we can celebrate our victories together.
Until then..... love and hugs,

Wow, Lisa - what a great day to celebrate! So happy for you!
I'm still waiting for anniversary #1 (June 7, 2006), but I plan on celebrating with abandon when I reach it! Starting year 5? How absolutely wonderful!
Have a good birthday!

LISA! WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!?!?
You and Andy are my favorite Canadians who have become my closest friends. I am so proud of how far you have come! I swear it seems like only yesterday we were introducing ourselves! I guess the real question now is: "Can we find a convertible in Halifax in October?" 40 years from now we'll laugh at how far we've come, fall off our rockers and spill our beers laughing our heads off!
Take care my good friend,
Stacy0
