I'M BAAAACCCKK!
I will see the doctor in a week, and he wants me to start the following week. My surgery went very well, I'm feeling good (just tired and sore), and getting around very well.
Thank you, Bonnie for your e-mails and concerns. And thanks to Bonnie and all of you for your hugs and prayers. I'm not looking forward to the chemo (the side effects, losing my hair, etc.). But I figure it's a small price to pay to nip this thing in the bud once and for all!!
While my doc says the clear-cell is the worst to deal with, he says that my history has not been 'typical'. It's been 6 years since my last incident, longer than normal. I also handled the chemo extremely well and responded quickly and well. So he expects and hopes that I will be just as responsive. He did say, however, that second rounds of chemo can cause some additional problems and be harder on a person. Oh well, we'll see.
Just wanted to update you all. My prayers and hugs to all of you.
Monika

Welcome Baaaaccckkk, we are so happy to see your name. Sorry they found cancer but glad it was contained and that your Dr has been on top of this with you. You had surgery on my birthday so I will send all my birthday blessings your way for a complete and speedy recovery.
Take Care

Many thanks to all of you for your responses and prayers! My biggest concerns right now are healing from this surgery (ouch!) and getting my strength up enough to endure the chemo next week. Anyone else with this particular recurrence of cancer, treatment and how are you doing?
Thank you so much for all the hugs.

I will be visiting the boards here from time to time and looking for your posts, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and I do hope your exerience with the chemo goes exceptionally well.
My thought is from reading your many compassionate and helpful posts here on the boards to many other members questions and concerns, including, myself, is you're a very caring, compassionate and understanding woman who goes the extra yard for others. If you do not mind, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thankfulness to you: For your taking the time; putting the effort forward to respond to my post and offering to me support in my time of need. I am sorry, I am not able to offer to you the specific information you are in need, because, I have no knowledge or personal experience with this type of cancer, however, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,

Thank you, Keya for your VERY kind words. Even though we all have different types of experiences (types of chemo, surgeries, side effects, etc.), it is so nice that we can uplift one another and be there for eachother.Keya said:Great to see your back!!! Once I see my doctor I will be posting with another question, such as who has experienced clear cell carcinoma a second time and been through carbo/taxol a second time. I need to see him first, though to be sure that will be his plan of action. So, it doesn't matter that you have not experienced the same as me - it is enough to have gone through this rollercoaster in life to be of help to someone else.
Thank you again! Here's hugs back to you, to ALL of you!
