I'm excited I just came back from the doctors and my blood work showed NED. My CEA level was at a 1. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Feb 15. I've never had one but they are going thru my colostomy. In 4 months I go for a ct scan and then blood work. I feel so good right now! I checked into going to Austin but the dates aren't available at work the days have been taken. (I have the lowest manager seniority) Can anyone tell me when the get together in Canada is being scheduled for? Just wanted to give my good news! Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    What wonderful news. congratulations. I have had colonoscopy through the stoma. It is no big deal -- pain free (much easier than the traditional route!). Psychologically it seems strange but it is really fine. Good luck with that.

The hotel has a flexible cancellation policy in case anyone has to cancel for health reasons etc.

    I had my colonoscopy via my stoma last week. Not too bad. I was worried about the prep. It wasn't too bad. I used a larger (irrigating bag). The scope itself was easier than the usual way.

    Congrats!!! I am sooo happy for you! Celebrate and enjoy. Keep us posted for other happy results.

    Colonoscopy via a stoma is a piece of cake. I tell the docs I don't want to feel a thing - the meds are magical. I don't remember a thing, but the docs tell me it is all good. Only bad thing is the prep.
