I would wait a bit, my hair looked like it was going to be really gray, but it only had a few greys.

Please wait to color your hair. You may like your hair when it's longer.Your hair is baby hair right now. Be careful you don't burn your hair. Most of mine came in dark with just a little gray, and lots of curls. My hair was so thin and flat before and after it's thick and curly. So I've had to get use to more hair and hair with body. So when your hair comes in,it just may be something you will love to live with.

I colored my hair as soon as I couldn't see my scalp anymore. It came in curly and grey but went back to it's normal texture (wavy fine strands) within the next year. I first used a semi-perm color from the drug store and that didn't cover much of the grey. A month after that I had it done at the salon ... permenant color. I read about not coloring your hair right away but I didn't look like myself and I think it was about getting back to normal for me. It did not seem to damage my hair and in fact my hair grows a little faster now than before. I still color even though it seems not to have as much grey in it as when it first grew back. I say ...do what makes you feel good!!! When we are happy everyone around us will benefit. Jamie

    Radiation on Bone Mets
Hello All - I'm interested in hearing from survivors who have mets to the bones ... how are you doing? how long since they found the mets? and what are they doing for you? I found out that I had mets to the bone one year ago after 4 years out from stage II. I have had one set of radiation treatments to my upper spine last summer and now two additional spots are showing up on the PET scan that my Dr's want to radiate. Both in the hip/pelvic bone area. The radiation to the spine eveidently worked great. No sign of the tumor. I also take Herceptin every week and that has got my tumor markers down. These two spots have been there since the first discovery ...they just seem to be flaring up and the Dr's think the Rads will get rid of them. My question is ... how often do new things seem to pop up? I would like to have a little break from all the anxiety of treatments for a while. I feel fine and I shouldn't complain it's just very un-nerving to have so many Dr appoitments and tests every week ... and I do have a full time job. Any chatter would be appreciated. Have a healthy day! Jamie
