I have had two chemos treatments for cancer that has spread to the liver, she did a tumor marker after that and they are up even from before I started. On the plus side the liver functions were better. None made any sense to me can anyone out there help me understand this as the nurse who called seemed no help! Said they would repeat them next week. I have chemo three times a month and feel lousy. God Bless Linda

Important thing is the liver function tests. My tumor markers have been up and down since 2001. Are you getting a CEA or a CA 27.29 or both? and what are the levels? If you don't mind me asking.
You probably feel lousy because of the chemo and not the cancer.

Before chemo started they were 547 not sure which test in any case she said they were up after the two chemos. This is going to be a tough battle as she said 75 percent of the liver has some cancer in it! On the other hand with God I feel this will work! Did you sweat when you had cancer in your liver Hummingbyrd? Write me at elton@twlakes.net I would like to ask you some questions on what you are further doing and this board doesn't like to much discussion on some things as you very well know. Linda0
