Scalp questions

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been here. I was diagnosed in May 2002 and thankfully all is well. I feel really blessed and consider this a second chance....so I'm using it. I have had problems with my scalp recently. Since my hair has started to grow back I've noticed that my scalp tingles/burns/hurts. There are days when I lay in bed with a heating pad on the top of my head trying to ease the pain. Over the counter meds don't really help. Is this normal? What should I do?
