Hi Nettie:
Good to hear from you- sorry your treatments are so hard on you- what are you on? We are sending positive thoughts your way that your scan will show good results. Take Care

Nettie, Keep strong and keep positive. When people on here speak of Positive thoughts, those are the survivors so no matter how hard my treatments I keep thanking God for every day and I suck up every bit of support my employees and this website offer me. I am learning to live from Love and acceptance rather than anger and fear - I can not even begin to tell you how it helps.
I am on FolFox and it makes me soooo sick to my stomach for about 5days (I take it every two weeks) I spoke to my nurse and the onc put me on a anti-puke med first that they inject and then follow it up with a drug called emmend. This has totally resolved my problem. No more giving it up to the porcelain god. I wish you strength for today, I will pray on my way to work for you that the **** called cancer does not get to win and that you find positive thoughts all day long. Remember to look for the blessings. My neighbor at work asked me what she could pray for me one day. I said pray that these my finger stop going so numb and hurt from the chemo cocktail I am on. The next day at work someone showed up with a rice bag in cloth that you heat in the micro and it stays warm on my hands for hours. I put it in front of my keyboard and the problem is solved. Not the blessing I was expecting but a blessing all the same. You will have them all day long just stay positive and look for them. They are right there.
Peace and Love and Positive Positive thoughts

Netie: there are some ways to deal with the side effects-ask them to include hydration with infusion - this can help a lot. and keep experimenting with anti-nausea meds-ativan is usually a good one for nausea in my case. Try and keep your gut alive during chemo with Probiotics-they help keep the intestines working normally.BuD0

Dear Nettie. For me to have just received another NED result is a blessing for me and I feel gratefull that I have been blessed. I am so sad that others like you are still having to fight like hell. I ask myself as others also do, "why did we have to get cancer".alta29 said:Ativan and Kytril worked for me....Keep your faith in God...We will be praying for good results.....
God bless you

Oh Nettie, you are always in my prayers!! Here is a note remminding you.
I just got over my bout of shingles - it did resolved after about 1 1/2 wks. I am so sorry you are going through that!! YUCK. I had to take sleeping pills and benadryl just to sleep. Talk to your doctor about getting you meds to make you more comfortable.
Wish you the best of luck for your next scan. I hope it is marvelous results.
Hang in there. love, jana0
