Hi! I had 5 years of Tamoxifen with 5 years of Hot Flashes. I changed over to Femara 3 mos. ago and the hot flashes got worse(if that's possible!) and I now have joint pain. Not fun but I guess better than having BC again. I see the surgeon on Tues. and I'll see what he thinks. Maybe I could take something to releive the discomfort. I've tried Advil, Motrin and Celebrex and none of them helped.I've actually stopped tennis for the winter to try to feel better but I will continue to walk on the treadmill and do some mild exercises. I am a PT and very active all day so just want to feel more comfortable to make work easier. Good luck to you. You can contact me here if you want to ask more questions. I will be willing to help you as much as I can. HUGS!! Cathy0

Hi Kathy! I haven't slept well since starting Tamoxifen so can't say Femara has caused that. I think part of it is that I have Night sweats and spend the night taking covers off then back on all night.I'm also uncomfortable with joint discomfort which seems worse at night(of course!). I am itchy but have been on my back for several years. What a nuisance!Hope this helps some. HUGS!! Hi Cathy, I have the same trouble with the night sweats. The hot flashes with the femara seem worse then with tamoxifen I guess my body was getting used to it. Of course you know a hot flash will come at the wrorse time. I am a waitress and get them while I am taking an order or talking to someone. You have been a big help.cruf said:Hi Kathy!
