hair loss as an adult-late cancer effect?

Hi there I am in my 20's and a cancer survivor for many years and just last year (2005) my hair has been thining and falling out. Strands of it fall out everytime when I shower and no one I have talked to knows why not even my doctors. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Please help.

    Thank you Dana for the information as it is upsetting for this to happen out of the blue and tests don't show anything.

    Hi Aquagirl!
    I am 38 and have been having thinking hair for several years. Although I don't anticipate going completely bald, hair loss is exceptionally distressing especially since I lost it twice during treatment (1980-1982). What have you found out regarding your hair issue? Mine was diagnosed as "chronic alopecia with some scarring" although the dermatologist was not clear that the alopecia was related to my previous cancer. Would love to hear from you,
