ovaries removed & sex drive

I think genetic counseling could be helpful in your case. The counselors will help determine your current risk of recurrence and may even recommend genetic testing. Is this something you have done already?
I did have my ovaries removed several months ago. I am ER+ and on an aromatase inhibitor. The estrogen deprivation in this case has been a double whammy, especially in the area of sexual intimacy. Let your body heal after this firt step with the lumpectomy. Then ask your doctors for recommendations based on surgery path results and research all pros/cons in your particular situation before taking these drastic measures.
Wishing you wellness,

I had my ovaries removed long before I had bc, and I'm here to report (and with a smile I might add) that I've had no problems with my sex drive or orgasims. Chemo caused quite a lull for a while, but it's all good again now.wingingit said:I think genetic counseling could be helpful in your case.
