Needing some prayers

Hi all,
Well, you will really not believe this. At least, I don't really yet. There was this bump on my head. Given the fact that I'm on erbitux and dealing with the rash, I figured (along with my mother and oncologist) that it was a sebaceous cyst. Anyways, we biopsied it and it turns out to be cancer. Yep, I have a scalp metastasis. Of course, I guess I should have known. It is a rare occurrence with less than 4% of rectal cancer patients experiencing cutaneous metastases, so of course I get one. I'm looking on the bright side and HOPING and PRAYING that, if I had to experience a new lesion, the skin is the best place to get one (it won't kill me). So, we're doing scanning in the coming weeks. Please pray that it is NOT in my brain or liver and that my lungs are stable. ARGH! I'm actually not too demoralized. Just frustrated and hoping that is the only disease progression.
I hope everyone is doing well. We did get our first snow fall and it is beautiful!
Still not believing my luck (and lack thereof...),
Andrea

Oh Sweet Baby Girl!!!!!!!!
DAMMIT!!!!!!!!! This disease does suck. You are right about the scalp tumor. Maybe, it is just the **** cells vacating your body and wanted to rest one last time before they do. Who the hell really knows, but your attitude and fight will win out. I really do feel that way. You just keeping moving forward and doing what you think is best for you. I think you know that we all love you here and are with you every single moment of every single day.
There aren't many more times in the day that I can't send you hugs, kisses and prayers (I do it so often already), but I will figure out a way to do it more and better.
I love and admire you so honey!!!!!!

PS Selfish me, I loved hearing from you. I personally have missed you.0 -

Andrea,
If ANYONE can whip this, YOU CAN! I agree with you about luck, sometimes I feel like if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all! Actually, I'm surprised I didn't get a scalp tumor since I spent the majority of my life with my head up my....anyway, I digress!
Best blessings heading your way! (oh, no pun intended! (blush!) )

Hi Andrea,
Crap, crap, crap and crap again!( the Imodium is in the medicine cabinet So sorry. Tons of prayers coming at you, darlin. No one should have to go through this. You have had your fair share. Enough is enough.
You, my dear, are the epitome of strength, courage and fortitude. Hang tight. Things are gonna work out fine.
I'll bet that first snowfall is beautiful. I always found such peace in the quiet of a new fallen snow.
Love to you,
