Hi all,
My name is Ron I am exremely worried about my wife,Susan. She has just had a pelvic ultrasound and has been told that the endometrial lining has thickened to 40 mm. She is scheduled to see a gyno next week to arrange a scope and a biopsy. The indication from the doctor was that it was either endometrial displaysia or cancer with little other option. Has anyone had thickening to this extent and if so what was the result. Thanks for your help I'm really not sure where my head is at the moment ,I am also a cancer survivor having had an aggressive stage three colon cancer with 6 lymph glands involved, somehow I managed to beat it and have been clear for 8 years. I can't bear the thought of my wife having to go down the same road,thanks for any help you can give me Ron.

    Hi Ron, I think we've met in the CSN chat room. If I recall, you live in Australia, am I right? I am an almost 4 year uterine cancer survivor, and I am fine. Uterine cancer, if diagnosed early, has one of the highest cure rates. My cancer was stage 1B, grade 2 tumor, and I had a complete hysterectomy followed by 5 weeks of external radiation and one treatment of internal radiation. As you know from your own experience with cancer, you CAN beat it, and if your wife does have cancer, she can beat it too. She's very lucky to have you to support her, and since you've been through it yourself, you can really help her deal with it. And remember, it may NOT be cancer, but if it is, you will both get through it.

    Hi Mary,
    Good to hear from you again and even better that you are well, thanks for the positive vibes , we hope everything will be fine ,I guess in one respect Susan is already a cancer survivor having had around 120 skin cancers burned and cut off at various times. ( a legacy of a childhood spent on horseback in the outback). I guess we will have to fight it as we find it, Ron.

    hello ron, my name is jinny and i also have been diagnosed with the same,after i did the biopsy and have had 2 mri done a few days ago i will keep you posted on the diagnose but most likely i will be having a hysterectomy done soon, i'm 37 years old and unfortunatley no children,, take care, stay strong ,, Jinny
