post-treatment diarrhea

My wife had anal canal "squamus cloacogenic carcinoma". She went through chemo + radiation this Aug/Sep. Compared to some I have read, she is not doing too badly - mostly fatigue, ... and diarrhea.
From reading here, it appears that this may continue for a while. Has anyone found ways to alleviate it? Immodium doesn't seem to help. One doctor suggested more fiber, which we're doing. In the meantime, any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
George

I have been in remission about a year it took almost a year to stop. But found eating banana's, white potatoes, rice helped. Stayed away from all milk products. And "Lamotrial" RX not spelled right I am sure. I found fiber made things worse and even today if I eat salad or take fiber it makes it worse. I hope this has helped some0
