I have had bone pain now for 5 months. I finished my chemo in April and finished radiation in June. All bone scans and MRI's have been clear. I have neuropathy in my hands and feet and bone pain in my hips, elbows and upper thigh. I've been to see a doctor in the pain management clinic at MD Anderson. They want to prescribe Cymbalta for the neuropathy and Celebrex for bone pain. Has anybody ever taken these drugs and what have been the side effects? Did they work for you?

Obviously you have good doctors for it took me years to find help with all the pain I was suffering with. Yes I have taken Celebrex but also took neurontine for nerve problems. I had some help but certainly wasn't the be all of end all. I found that I had to go out in the natural world to find something else to compliment these drugs and years later I am now off all medication and doing better than I have in years. I also found exercise was an amazing help though it took allot of effort and courage to do it since I wasn't well when I began. But today 3 years after pain helped I am in better shape than I have ever been in even though an athlete my whole life. I am working harder than I have ever worked and I think all of this has helped me come so far.
I am very happy that women are being finally taken serious with pain that occurs and getting the help they need, rather than struggling like I had to all those years ago.
I found that taking meds were hard on my irritable bowl so eventually had to get off them all.
Be good to yourself,
