I'm not on
Does it make any one angry that they get tired so easy like I do .?

It surely can make me angry about the fatigue that happens still. I just can't do what I used to do.
I find myself upset with verbal recall that is still an issue. sometimes I will try so hard to remember a simple word and will not come to me. On other occasions, I will say something that starts out fine but ends with a word that does not connect. Will not realize until after it has been said. Sometimes I can't finish a sentence because just can't pull the words from my brain to my mouth.
Geez, Can't think of an example right this minute. :0) Many times this is worse for me than the fatigue.
Take it easy on yourself. I will try to practice what I preach here , too. )

Hi Marilyn...I'm on tamoxifen and effexor 37.5 mg for the hot flashes/night sweats. Since chemo and radiation I've been very tired (3 years) -- they have just told me that I'm slightly anemic which could account for the tiredness. However I've been told by doctors and family members that it truly is that I don't really relax. My husband took me away for a few days and that definitely revitalized me. But once back to work, cleaning, cooking, etc. it creeps up on you again.
I can't say that I'm angry ... but at times frustrated that either I can't do what I used to do or that it is much more difficult.
As a survivor...you'll never be the same as you were before!!! You are better!!0 -
Hi Marilyn, I'm on Effexor also for hot flashes - do you think it is working for you? Sometimes I think it isn't working but then I wonder would the hot flashes be even worse if I wasn't on it. I get tired more easily than I used to. I had surgery & reconstruction in February & finished chemo in July. I am finding it difficult to stay up and look at TV & even difficult to get up in the mornings. I'm going to try to start walking some in the evenings before it gets dark. Someone told me that exercise would boost your energy level.0

I agree there are times I wonder whether the Effexor is truly working because I have the hot flashes but the night sweats have subsided. So I think it would just be worse if I wasn't on this drug.
As for exercise I definitely think that helps, but I'm three years out and have to say that exercising definitely has helped gain/boost my energy level.
Good luck and keep on smiling!!0
