Today
My favorite sister and best friend (same person, actually) reminded me that today is the 4 year anniversary of my diagnosis. I must have written the date a million times at work today, and it never even occurred to me! Time flies! It feels literally like only yesterday when the doctor was telling me about the poor unlucky soul who would be getting chemo, radiation, and surgery, followed by a couple of surgeries. That unlucky soul turned out to be me...very fortunate, very blessed LUCKY soul. I am happy to continue to be a victor over stage 4. I am blessed to have such awesome friends, tangible as well as virtual, who have been there every step of the way. My siblings and family have been incredibly supportive, and I attribute my success partially to them. Admittedly, I shed a tear for those who have lost this fight, and that lights the fire under me to make more people aware of detection and nipping things before they spiral out of control.
Everyone here, the outspoken ones, the quiet ones, and even the "I'm only lurking" ones have all played an active role in supporting me as well as others in this journey. Thank you all! This will make the trip to Vegas at the end of the month even sweeter than I anticipated it already to be!
I hope my good fortune spreads to all of you who are actively getting treatments. Stay strong and join me and NED!

Stacy - Congratulations!
You give me hope as I have only been on this journey since late May. I already have a NED scan, but my oncologist wants me to realize that may not last until I have had more chemo. Still hearing from a Stage IV who is celebrating their 4th anniversary helps me to think ahead to things I may want to do 4 years from now. Thanks much for you inspiration.
