This may not be the correct place to post this, but I'll do it anyway. There is a very interesting article at the link below which discusses how Vitamin D and Painkiller Slow Prostate Cancer.

It's actually the natural form of vitamin D, available only by prescription (or by exposure of the skin to sunlight), and one or another of certain muscle relaxants, taken together. Separately they are known to **** PC slightly, but together they are reported to slow PC by 70%.
More recently, on Sep 28 to be exact, there was even more exciting news: tumors in immune-deficient mice resulting from the introduction of human PC cells were seen to SHRINK when the mice were given... pomegranate juice. Only one of the many articles reporting the trial result bothered to mention that the pomegranate juice reinstituted apoptosis -- natural cell death -- in prostate cancer cells. The researchers have no idea how it does that. The antioxidant properties of pomegranate are apparently well known, but that may have little or nothing to do with the amazing effect on PC tumors. More research is in order, but meanwhile pomegranate juice is available without prescription. The amount given to the mice was reported to be equivalent to 8 oz per day in a human -- entirely practical even if a bit expensive. One cancer researcher was quoted as saying that he/she "certainly wouldn't recommend drinking" 8 oz of pomegranate juice a day. Oh? And why not?0
