Fantastic news!! Congrats. I was done with my chemo regime in Oct '04 for Stage 4 and have not done any treatments since (still NED). The onc. and I struggled with doing extra chemo directly to the liver, but decided to leave that as an option if it recurs. I am however taking a few vitamins and supplements. Mike0

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!
I also just had a NED PET after 2 rounds of chemo. Have just had my 3rd and will probably go for 4 - 6. My doc mentioned the possibility of putting me on Avastin only for a while after chemo - will talk more to her about that next week.
The plan is to keep scanning and then if (when?) I start to "light up" again, I'll probably get sent for liver resection. NOT looking forward to that possibility.

Wonderful news about your NED status! Congratulations!
After I finished tx the first time (Stage 3 rectal), I was on celebrex, calcium and vitamins (had to discontinue the celebrex after about 1 yr). But I have heard from some others on this board who are taking some chemo drugs in pill form for a longer time.....
Best wishes

CONGRATULATIONS ON NED!!!
Doesn't that feel great? Every little step remaining in NED is getting farther away from the cancer, yes? So that is GREAT news!!
Can't help you with the chemo question but I do take supplements to prevent any recurrence......vitamins and minerals and herbs and such.
