Has anyone been on Faslodex after Arimidex? Was it successful? Also, has anyone received the injection of Faslodex and continued with Arimidex?

I'm currently taking Arimidex and have been on it for 2 1/2 years. Faslodex was not available when I was diagnosed. It's my understanding that the drugs are prescribed either or, not both. They do essentially the same thing just approaching it differently. Arimidex blocks the production of secondary estrogen by the adrenal gland and Faslodex destroys estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells. Clinical trials comparing the two drugs found them to have very similar survival rates. Faslodex numbers were slightly better but not considered statistically significant. One drug could easily be prescribed after the other. Is your doctor proposing to give you both together or were you just wondering if this is ever done?
