Hi IAM 21 SOON TO 22. I HAVE HODGKIN 2X. I ALSO HAD A BONE MARROW TRANS. MY FIRST PET/SCAN CAME BACK OK. WHEN I WENT A MONTH AGO SOMETHING
SHOWED UP .ONE OF THE NODES WAS ENLARGED. THE DR. SAID HE IS NOT SURE WHAT IT IS. I HAD A LUNG BIOSPY AND AM WAITING ON RESULTS.I FEEL GREAT AND MY BLOOD WORK WAS FINE. I'M VERY SCARED I MAY HAVE HODGKIN AGAIN!! HAS ANYONE EVER HAD A SCARE LIKE THIS BEFORE? LET ME KNOW OR WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ANY STORIES.THANK AGAIN.

Hello,
I'm replying a little late to this, I hope my info serves you. I too had asimilar scare, and they did a bronchoscopy and were considering doing a biopsy behind the sternum. They decided to wait for a PET scan and based on symptoms, info from both my pulmonologist and oncologist, the radiologist decided that the evidence pointed to lung damage from Bleomycin. Also, it's not uncommon for some tissue to look questionable in scans, specially if you just finished treatment; many times the tissues are still inflamed. Sometimes empty sacks of scar tissue where cancerous nodes used to be remain for a while and are difficult for radiologists to interpret. Still, better to be sure. Hope you continue to be well.0
