Hi everyone,
I am back from a well rested 2 week vacation at Cape Cod. It was great to spend 2 weeks away that I actually felt good. The weather and cold drinks, did I say BEER were awesome. My husband bought a boat last year, after his heart attack and we had a great time. The ocean air was good for all of us. Our kids, ages 16, 20, 24, all spent time with us.
I am trying to catch up on the posts. To all the newbies, welcome. I am living proof that it does get better after treatments. I am 2 years post surgery for stage 3 rectal cancer.
To all of the NED folks, YIPPEEEE!!!
And to all of those still struggling with this terrible disease, you remain in my prayers.
To all the Las Vegas folks, I am jealous as it sounds like it will be a great time. I hope to see lots of pictures.

Hiya Maureen. Great to hear that you have been out "enjoying life!" This crap kinda makes us appreciate the simpler things. As for Vegas...I am going to have to remind Spnger to take our little kangaroo mascot Jen sent to him. The little fella has(reputedly?) a mini cam embedded in him.....lol!
Keep smilin babe.....huggs, kanga n Jen0 -

How did you know? My husband was a heavy smoker since he was a teen. He quit when he went in to the hospital. ( I still can't believe he quit, but I am so happy and proud that he did.) He smoked merit cigarettes, so he named the boat, "MY MERIT".
