Hello all you Rockin' Semi-Colons pals!!

August 6 is my four year anniversary!!!

I AM ALIVE!!

I love those words. As much as I love NED.

I have a houseful right now and more coming this weekend so I just wanted to sneak in here really quickly and share this with you.

Tomorrow I will be off to the berry patch picking fresh organic blueberries and raspberries and then to my buddie's house for lunch to CELEBRATE!!!

I know that YOU all understand the importance of this day in our lives. Sometimes our families just don't "get it" and don't make a big deal about it. BUT WE DO!!!

Thank you all for being a part of my LIFE.

    Congratulations on your anniversary, Emily! I for one am glad that you have had so many years of NED, and tonight after I get out of the hospital and go to dinner with my father, I will drink a special toast to your four years. And wish you forty more years!

    Emily, how awesome!!! I am a 6+ year survivor of stage 3 rectal cancer (diagnosed at 36). Like you I had young children at the time of my diagnosis. I am so thrilled to be alive and kicking, and disease free, 6 years later!! It struck me last night when I was out shopping for some new running shoes...I saw the Lance Armstrong Nike gear and bought some new shorts. When I got home I told my wife...if anyone deserves to run in Lance Armstrong's clothing line it's me...another survivor! Sometimes I forget I am a survivor. You are an inspiration to alot of people on this board. Your healthy living is a great example of reclaiming your life after battling this disease. GO EMILY!

    I have tried to tell you but you have no idea how important you are to all of us here, especially me. I specifically remember thinking you were a crazed woman for doing coffee enemas. Now, it it weren't for my colostomy bag, I would be doing them too!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!

    Now enjoy and celebrate. Don't eat too many berries!!! I'm with Lisa Rose, I can't wait to hug your neck and just giggle in Vegas!!!!!!

    It is going to be so much fun!!!!!!!

    emily what a blessing that you are 4yrs alive and disease free. your children and husband are very blessed that you are still with them. as i type this i am shedding a few tears, because i am most happy for your children. you should be excited and it is worth celebrating. eat some berries for me those are my favorites. the Lords continued blessings to you and your family.

    The journey from coffee ice cream to coffee enemas is a long and arduous one and I may never make it to the end (pun intended) but ostomy or no, I am slowly cleaning up my act with the help of my naggy niece. Your example is a good goal to shoot for even if I miss the mark.

    Oh Emily- we are "tickled pink" to hear your awesome news...how I pray that my "best half" will hear those words at the end of August...BTW- what would one have to juice to be the colour of pink so the "tickled pink" would show on one's body..lol :)

    Ah patricia,

    Have you not been fully initiated into the Semi-Colons yet??

    All you have to do is take the oath to obsess about your poop, make an attempt to understand Sponge Bob's humor, send zany photos to Aspaysia for her blog site, look up the web sites that nunuk posts, head to Las Vegas to meet our famous movie star Stacy, wear a thong like kanga, sit by Barb's pool drinking margaritas --no scratch that--drinking carrot juice.....you get the idea.

    Just keep posting and hanging out and you'll feel "in" the group in no time!!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am truly so happy for you. I read your post often. You have helped me more than I could ever tell you.
    I go for my 2 year check (Pet/Ct scans )in 2 weeks.
    I am praying I can join the NED Club.
