Diagnosed at StageIV

I was diagnose by having blurred vision, the opthamologist saw a tumor in my eye that only comes from BC mets. Mammo was neg, ultrasound showed fibroadenoma that FNA turned up to have ICD in it and now I have a painful lump. Just got diagnosed yesterday

    Hi Kathy,

    So sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I am also stage IV. Was diagnosed with bone mets oct. 27-05
    I am going thur treatment again. Just started three weeks ago.

    It never occured to me I could have mets in the eyes. Do you know how they are going to treat this.

    I know you are going thru a lot right now. Hang in there and keep us posted.

    Kathy, I was diagnosed at
    stage Iv and it will be 3 years in Sept. 3005. The first days are so frightening, but know that cancer is more a chronic disease that a death sentence. My sister is a doc at Stanford and I have the best BC guy in the country. I'm on tamoxifen and Zometa and, so far I'm doing okay. I swim laps every day, this after chemo and radition and more chem and no hair and weakness. I am thinking about your. We form a sisterhood and we're all connected. You are in my prayers. . you will get beyond the fear. Lynettte

    Diagnosed at stage IV June of 2000. Hang in there, no cure, but it can be a chronic condition...hey I can live with that! It takes faith, a positive attitude and a lot of hard work. Be pro-active in your treatment. I'm so pro-active I even wrote a book.
