Hi Nettie,
One of the sayings I have stuck on my wall by my computer is "Feed the Faith, Starve the Doubt". At the moment, all you have is a suspicion. I know you are facing an excrutiating few days, undergoing the CT and awaiting the results. Try to keep feeding the faith. I will be thinking of you, sending prayers and best wishes your way.

Nettie,
I know the concern and worry you are having right now. I too suffered a recurrance and the anxieties I experienced with it all was very tiresome and exhausting.
Many times we have to just take a day at a time. Get through the CAT scan and see what shows, then take it from there.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know how your scan comes out. We'll be here for you.

Tara, Thanks for the good saying. I need to remember it.taraHK said:Hi Nettie,

Nettie, I know that it this is so hard, and we do become plain, old, tired....mentally and physically. I think that Kerry is right, though. Have the CT done and see the results. You will be able to handle much more if you know all of the information. Take care and know that you are in my thoughts.
Cheers,

Hey Nettie...Some days you just feel like you've been put through a wringer like an old dish towel, huh? Kerry's advice is good, and I'd sure back her on that. How about a good distraction in the meantime...funny movies, a trip to the zoo, leisurely walks. Fear of the unknown feeds on itself, and it's obviously easier said than done, but try not to spend too much energy worrying about something you have no control over right now. Take that flattened out old dish towel, give it a good shake in the sun-shine and get ready to move on with the next mess...and if there's no mess to clean up (which we all hope is the case after your CT scan is back!), then sit back and relax!
While we're quoting folks, here's one I like alot (author unknown):
"When you come to the edge of the light that you have, and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, You must believe that one of two things will happen: Either there will be something solid for you to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly."
Take care. Jimmy0 -
Nettie honey,
I don't think I have ever told you that you were one of the first on this board that echoed my feelings last year when I joined this awesome group. Since then, I think of you every day and that will never change. I agree with the others, get the results back first and we will go from there, together. Have you considered juicing and other dietary changes? I don't want to preach to you but if you are interested, please let me know. I will help you honey. I owe you for what you gave to me last year.

I think the first ime I met you Nettie was in the chat room. Unfortunately my firewall keeps me out of that loop but way back then we all vented our frustrations and helped each other. You are stiil in our thoughts...always. Don't go getting too worked up sweetie. Waiting is a **** but there is always the possibility your doc wants to be sure that you are ok. Maybe he is one of those that "do the right thing" and is being cautious.scouty said:Nettie honey,
