Five years today
Five years ago today I was in the hospital having colon surgery. Wow, sometimes it seems like five years and other times I remember it like yesterday all the hopes and fears. Anyway I'm here to tell you there is hope for all of you. I know some on this line our going through so much and I feel so luckey and thankful to be here. I enjoy every day and thank God I'm alive. Going out for dinner tonight with my husband and friends and I'll have a toast to all you great people on this line who are so helpful to the ones going through really bad times.

Maggi,
Congratulations on sucessfully beating your cancer. I hope you have a wonderful time at dinner tonight. It makes me feel good listening to everyones positive experience.
I was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer one day and then the next I had surgery. I just started on the Chemo treatments and this is my third week. I look forward to my five year anniversary of beating this. Thanks for the great attitude!!!0 -
Praise God. I am so happy when I heard a survivors' story. I'm new to this board but I must say after reading some survivors' stories, it really uplifts my spirit. I know God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Praise His name.Kanort said:Congratulations, Maggi! How freeing that five year mark must be. Mine is only three years away. Enjoy your evening out with your loved ones. Wishing you many more healthy years!

Hey, well done Maggi!! Great for you to come and let us celebrate with you. On my first anniversary Jen, myself and 2 friends went out for dinner too. I bought a glass of orange juice and put in the middle of the table for all to see. Our friends asked, "why the glass of juice?" I told them it was a glass reminding me that all my semi-colon friends were with us celebrating. It brought a tear to their eyes!!!!!Glv49 said:Congratulations!! Thats so wonderful, you are truly blessed. I so hope forward to being able to reach that mark some day! Enjoy your celebration!
