    My father in law has tried to talk my mom out of her surgery because he believes that it will spread the cancer too! Down right scary!

    While I was on chemo, one of the oncology nurses believes this too. Scary when it comes from someone in the medical profession but they are human too.

    Another myth that even doctors believe is the one about young people getting cancer. Just ask the members of this board under say age forty (not that there is anything wrong with being 40)

    This kind of reminds me of a question someone asked in biology class many, many years ago. They asked the teacher if you could get a venereal disease from sitting on a toilet seat, to which he replied, 'You can, but it's pretty uncomfortable'
